The next few hours we will all be considering our New Year's Resolutions. How about trying to use this time to go through this article and coming up with a plan for 2012!
The DePauw softball team will be trying many new things this season. (This is the part where I publicly announce my goal, read the article.)
We will be doing some boot camp style workouts as well as about 4 more (additional) team building activities from the start of the season to our Spring Training trip to Orlando, Florida. We will be hitting weighted balls during winter training. It is going to hurt our hands big time. I think I can coach the team through the discipline to hit the balls correctly that can turn out big results during April and May. Our Assistant Coaches will be given more responsibility in player development. (My control freak is going to have to take a back seat this 2012.) This not only will help our program but to give our 5 outstanding seniors and 8 outstanding juniors the opportunity to lead.
